LUCIO DALLA. Anche se il tempo passa
Exhibition-event dedicated to the extraordinary human and artistic career of one of the most popular Italian and international artists.
The fascinating journey into the universe of Lucio Dalla, iconic and innovative singer-songwriter, immortal, the prerogative only of great artists, arrives in the capital. It was inevitable to celebrate him on the tenth anniversary of his death with the great exhibition-event 'Lucio Dalla - Anche se il tempo passa' (Lucio Dalla - Even if time goes by) dedicated to the human and musical genius at the Ara Pacis Museum. A journey that starts from childhood and retraces an extraordinary path of life and collective memory, to the rhythm of the notes of his extraordinary songs.
It is no easy feat to recount fifty years of history in one exhibition. It all stems from a long search for material, much of which is on display for the first time, documenting the entire human and artistic journey of one of Italy's and the world's best-loved artists. A singer of life and sounds who with biting irony and a poetic gaze conquered the hearts of all, not only a musician but also an actor, writer, theatre director, sports lover and lover of motors, dance, opera, painting, literature, with an impressive number of interests.
Thus, through documents, photos, record covers, videos, objects, stage clothes, posters of the films in which he took part, posters, the rich collection of hats and caps, it will be possible to discover Lucio's intimacy and experience the power of his music.
We will discover that his memory still fills the soul and makes the heart tremble.
There are more than ten sections into which the exhibition is divided: Family-Fatherhood-Friendships-Musical beginnings, Dalla tells his story, The clarinet, The Lucio Dalla Museum, his music, cinema, theatre, television, Universo Dalla, Dalla and Roversi, Dalla and Rome; this last section, unpublished, is dedicated to the relationship between the singer and the capital, the city where he lived for a long time and which he loved deeply. Together with documents that tell us about his life, art and passions, the exhibition will offer viewers the opportunity for a unique and special encounter with the artist.
The exhibition is also enriched by a prestigious catalogue published by Skira that contains history, images and also a long list of extraordinary testimonies that help to understand his eclectic character in depth.
