The Ara Pacis represents one of the most important examples of classical art. Its construction was decided by the Roman Senate in 13 BC in honour of the triumphs of Emperor Augustus.
The new monument complex of the Ara Pacis designed by Richard Meier in 2006 gives at the city a central space for hosting important cultural events in the Auditorium and high-level events in its open spaces.
Special openings of the Museum can be arranged for:
- exclusive educational visits (max. 200 people);
- presentations and conferences in the Auditorium hall (max. 140 people);
- private events in the foyer (max. 150 people standing/90 seated); on the terrace (max. 200 standing/150 seated); in the terrace hall (max. 80 standing/60 seated).
