Visiting the Ara Pacis Museum

The museum provides a wheelchair that can be requested at the ticket office or from the reception staff.

The accompanying person must go to the ticket office to collect the tickets.

Room attendants are available to assist visitors who wish to do so, respecting the precautions due to the current health situation.

From the upper floor (Ara Pacis - Sala Paladino) it is possible to access the lower floor (Foyer - Auditorium - Exhibition Space) by means of a lift (approximately 1.50 m wide). On the lower floor, close to the lift, are the toilets.

In the case of temporary exhibitions held on the lower floor, it will be necessary to ascertain whether access to the exhibition is from the entrance of the Exhibition Space (Via di Ripetta, 180) or from that of the Museum Space (Lungotevere in Augusta).

The lower floor houses part of the permanent collection and the Auditorium, which is fully accessible to visitors with motor disabilities.
