The first Christmas of Roma Capitale lights up the city through culture, solidarity, art and entertainment. For the occasion, within the framework of the “Roma Città Natale 2010” festival, The Colours of the Ara Pacis is an event, sponsored by Roma Capitale, Department of Cultural Policy and Communication and the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage of the Rome City, that aims brings back to life the original colours of the monument, through a sophisticated lighting system.

From December 20, 2010 to January 9, 2011, the city offers to citizens and visitors a special festival called “Roma Città Natale. Una Festa unica al Mondo”, a variety of public and private events, under a single institutional framework, to enjoy the best the city has to offer during the Christmas holidays.

January 2 and 6, 2011;
from 8.00 pm to 11.00 pm (last admission one hour before closing time)

Entrance ticket

Adults: € 11.00; Concessions: € 9.00;
Roman Citiziens only (by showing a valid ID): Adults: € 10.00; Concessions: € 8.00;
Free of charge: only for children under 6 years of age and disabled people and a carer;
The daytime (9.00 am – 7.00 pm) ticket does not include nor entitle the holder to the admission of I colori dell'Ara Pacis, for which a new ticket must be purchased.
The visit to the "Chagall. Il mondo sottosopra" exhibition is included in the ticket.
Tickets can be purchased using cash, ATM or credit cards.
